We are glad to share with you some floral trends for this coming season.
Fruity florals
Adding some fruits will make your floral arrangements stylish and audacious. Fruits such as lemons, limes, and oranges are perfect for adding a colorful twist to almost any arrangement. Whether used whole, or cut into slices, their bright, bold colors instantly add excitement, fun, and a bit of whimsy.
Florals & Jewels
Add some inexpensive jewels to your bouquet for a unique and glamorous look. You can add some style to your flowers by sticking some gold pins or few pearl-tipped pins into an arrangement of like-colored blooms, or by pinning a faux diamond brooch to the bouquet wrap.
Try to match the jewels to your color scheme, the color of the flowers or any other element you want to complement. Just try not to go overboard.
Fur and Feathers
This dashing pairing might seem a little risqué, but adding a few feathers or some faux fur to your bouquet can be both beautiful and striking.
Fur and feathers add a little warmth to a bouquet, perfect for fall and winter weddings. A lining of white or green faux fur creates exotic interest when wrapped around a tall bouquet of orchids and peacock feathers. For a more neutral palette, a fur wrap on a small bouquet of white flowers accented with ostrich feathers adds some style to a winter wedding color scheme.
Extravagant
Every bride is the center of attention at the wedding. To make sure you remain the focus of everyone’s gaze, try holding onto a large, vibrant bouquet. You’ll want to use colors that really stand out, so choose flowers that are unique and that you are not using anywhere else in your décor scheme. For example, if your ceremony area is adorned with white and red roses, a bouquet filled with bright blue irises or hydrangeas and striking yellow lilies will ensure that any wandering eyes find their way back to you!
Naturally from the area
If you’re looking for a way to convey a back-to-nature kind of feeling, use local wildflowers for your floral décor and bouquet. Combinations of coral vine, sunflowers, lilies and baby’s breath should be easy to acquire and arrange. The great thing about wildflowers is that, as in nature, they can appear in any color or combination, and they’re guaranteed to look great no matter how you organize them. The selection of flowers you use will depend on your location and the season, though this trend is best suited for outdoor ceremonies in the spring, summer and fall.
Minimalist
More is not always better. Sometimes, an easy classic, like flowers in a clear glass vase, works perfectly. While other brides go out of their way to outdo one another with expensive and elaborate floral arrangements, you can choose a beautiful set of blooms and place them in a few simple vessels. This minimalist scheme works well on eight-top tables with rough linen runners. No excessive ornamentation, no pricey, exotic designs — just gorgeous flowers. That is all you need.
Enchanting Votives
The days of boring taper candles on reception tables are gone. Suspending votives from table set mini trees is a great idea and it creates a beautiful visual effect. It is also a great way to illuminate the tables as the votives hang on from high above the tables. Depending on your theme and flower selection, a few well-placed candles can illuminate your stylish design choices and enhance the romantic atmosphere of your wedding (especially if you’re having nighttime nuptials).

If you plan to invite kids at your wedding, we recommend you having some entertainment for them. Include some Mexican items to the activities and in this way they will have fun and you too! Ask your Wedding Planner to arrange some tables and tools a little bit aside from the Reception area where kids can enjoy their activities.
POTTERY PAINTING
Many Mexican Resorts and flea markets sale blank pottery so the children can paint with their own style and take it home. Ask your Wedding Coordinator the best place to find these pottery pieces that are ideal for kids. Make sure to provide some aprons to avoid accidents!
POSTAL WRAPPING PAPER, ACRYLIC PAINTING & PAINTING BRUSHES
Kids LOVE painting and more if they have lots of paper to freely paint their creations. Have some postal wrapping paper rolls that you can easily find at the office supplies stores and have them available so kids have something fun to do while you enjoy your wedding reception.
PIÑATA MAKING
Piñatas are very important in Mexican festivities and of course are fun to make. A large pottery jar, colorful tissue paper and glue are the main elements to create wonderful piñatas. You can fill them with candies and they can break it at some point or the next day of your wedding!
GIFT BAG GOODIES
A gift bag with goodies is always welcomed by kids! Have some crayons, booklets and stickers. I am sure this will keep them busy and it is also a souvenir that they can keep.
MOVIE & POP CORN TIME
Most of the resorts have meeting space and screens where they can project a movie. Ask your Wedding Planner to get two or three kids movies titles that they can enjoy while having pop corns. Include some puffs and pillows for seating. It is always convenient hiring the services of a Nannie to watch the kids for this activity.

Colour
Bridal collections now include color splashed gowns mostly with blush pinks and blue. Remarkable designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang & Douglas Hannant have incorporated colored gowns to their collections. Your guests will be amazed when they see you walk through the aisle!
Peplums
The peplum on a dress is a type of overskirt which extends from and defines the waist. They bring a bit of runway fashion to a wedding dress with structured layering and draping. If you wish to create a visual volume in your hips, the peplums are a great and trend fashion option.
Convertible
A good idea for Brides who are looking for an option for the ceremony, the reception and the after party. They generally have layers that you can take off to make the dress lighter and freer to move around, dance and celebrate with your family and friends. For a Wedding in Los Cabos, we suggest a fresh and comfortable convertible dress, with a short skirt for after the ceremony and reception.
Lace
Lace has been always a favorite for fashion designers, but there has been a big increase in use since we saw Kate Middleton’s dress last year, we loved it! Lace will always be feminine, romantic, elegant and classic. There are various laces types, the most commons are: Chantilly, Duchesse, Guipure, Schiffli & Venetian.
Portrait Backs
A gown with a portrait back is an unexpected surprise and a delight for the photographers! With intricate detail over a sheer panel back, these dresses look great in photos. It could be a sophisticated design or a simple screen with embroidered patterns.

No matter how small is your guest list, Cabo has many options to offer, from just the two of you to 50 people; amazing hidden treasures are waiting for you!
In San Jose del Cabo, a boutique hotel in downtown has a small inventory of 16 rooms, a place with an European-Mexican flare is right next to the Town square, where you and your guests can enjoy the fabulous and peaceful historic and art district. This Resort gives you the possibility of doing a buyout with 15 paid rooms, very easy to fill up for small weddings. The gourmet restaurant is located in this property and open to the public for dinner.
In the corridor of San Jose del Cabo, a Luxury Resort of 57 rooms is perfect for a 30ish people wedding, just standing in the Lobby area; we can immediately feel the elegance, tasteful décor and impeccable service…one of my favorites!
A little bit further on the Los Cabos Tourist corridor is a more laid back yet elegant and pristine Resort, also a great place for small weddings.
In Cabo San Lucas, on the Pacific Side, a dramatic-view luxury hotel is a fabulous option if you wish to have an intimate group and inspiring views to the ocean. This resort has one of the most spectacular restaurants; a place perched on the cliffs that serve lovely seafood bounties.
If you are looking for a place away from the town, the Pacific Side of the Los Cabos offer great options, for adventurous and watersports lovers, Pescadero town on the Pacific Coast will give you amazing sunsets and unspoiled beaches.
Thirty minutes further, you will find the “Magic Town of Todos Santos” with at least four boutique hotels that range from 7 luxury suites to 15 romantic rooms; this is the perfect place to celebrate a small, rustic and intimate wedding.

The wedding venue usually takes a big part of your wedding budget, so you might want to figure out ways to save costs. The “venue,” if you’re unsure, is basically where you hold your ceremony and reception. Here are some savvy ideas!
Choose an off-season date. Los Cabos high season is January, February & March. You will find good deals if you avoid the mentioned months and of course, the holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year´s eve). During the summer months, the venues are usually available and at a lower cost.
Try to keep the events at the Resort. Most of Los Cabos Resorts feature amazing ocean view terraces and restaurants that you can combine with a beach ceremony. Some also have a night club where you can have the after party drinks! Take advantage of what your hotel has to offer to minimize costs in transportation and venue rental.
Alternative venues. Do not immediately opt for the most conventional locations, because the cost for those places will be inflated due to demand. Check out other venues such as Golf Club Houses, Ocean View pool side terraces or a Hacienda Style Mexican Restaurant.
Minimum Décor required. Choose a venue that’s already beautiful or that will require minor decor tweaks so you won’t need extra wedding decorations. Los Cabos features many beautiful Villas that can be enhanced with few luminaries and votives around the house.
Ask what is included. When you’re taking a look at the venue, remember to ask what’s included in your package, just to get a better estimate of the total cost. For example, many places already own chiavari and white garden chairs, overlays and china, so you only have to add a centerpiece and few candles.
Rustic Places. Getting married in a Farm, surrounded of vintage décor and wild flowers will look pretty original and will help you to save costs. Los Cabos area has beautiful organic farms that I am sure your guests will be surprised with.
Combine the ceremony and the reception. Having the ceremony and the reception in the same location means that you only need to pay for one venue. You’ll also be saving on decoration and guest transportation costs.

Margarita Popsicles
During the post-ceremony cocktail hour or late night surprise your guests with a Mexican Popsicle Cart. Margaritas & Fruit Punch Popsicles and Mexican Vanilla Ice-creams would be greatly appreciated by your guests.
Summer Signature Cocktail
Take advantage of the great flavors of the season and ask your caterer to create a signature cocktail based on the local grown fruits. Seasonal Mangos and Watermelon and are some tasty options for summer cocktails in Cabo.
Parasols for the early ceremonies
Summer sunset time is around 8 pm, so Parasols are a must if you are planning a beach wedding or an outdoor terrace to protect your guests and provide comfort from the high temperatures. They come in different colors, from simply white and beige to bold tangerine or aqua. Put them on the chairs or offer them as guests enter to the ceremony seating area.
Summer Goodies
Help your guests to beat the heat at an outdoor reception by given them some fans, sombreros or facial water sprays as refreshments. Your wedding planner can assist you to find some inexpensive palm leaves made fans and sombreros.
Summer Welcome Basket
Pamper your guests with a welcome basket that includes items that they can use during their stay in Cabo: sun protection, beach towel, sandals and why not… some chips and salsa!
