The wedding venue usually takes a big part of your wedding budget, so you might want to figure out ways to save costs. The “venue,” if you’re unsure, is basically where you hold your ceremony and reception. Here are some savvy ideas!
Choose an off-season date. Los Cabos high season is January, February & March. You will find good deals if you avoid the mentioned months and of course, the holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year´s eve). During the summer months, the venues are usually available and at a lower cost.
Try to keep the events at the Resort. Most of Los Cabos Resorts feature amazing ocean view terraces and restaurants that you can combine with a beach ceremony. Some also have a night club where you can have the after party drinks! Take advantage of what your hotel has to offer to minimize costs in transportation and venue rental.
Alternative venues. Do not immediately opt for the most conventional locations, because the cost for those places will be inflated due to demand. Check out other venues such as Golf Club Houses, Ocean View pool side terraces or a Hacienda Style Mexican Restaurant.
Minimum Décor required. Choose a venue that’s already beautiful or that will require minor decor tweaks so you won’t need extra wedding decorations. Los Cabos features many beautiful Villas that can be enhanced with few luminaries and votives around the house.
Ask what is included. When you’re taking a look at the venue, remember to ask what’s included in your package, just to get a better estimate of the total cost. For example, many places already own chiavari and white garden chairs, overlays and china, so you only have to add a centerpiece and few candles.
Rustic Places. Getting married in a Farm, surrounded of vintage décor and wild flowers will look pretty original and will help you to save costs. Los Cabos area has beautiful organic farms that I am sure your guests will be surprised with.
Combine the ceremony and the reception. Having the ceremony and the reception in the same location means that you only need to pay for one venue. You’ll also be saving on decoration and guest transportation costs.
