Hi bloggers, this week I’d like to share with you some tips to reduce your Food & Beverage costs for your Cabo Wedding Reception. Simple steps will help you to keep your costs in budget without compromising the quality and service of your event.
Opt for seasonal items. Selecting seasonal and locally gown vegetables and ingredients will help you to save costs and you will have the freshest ingredients. All year round you can find the best catch of the day, this is a great and inexpensive option… If you are on a Beach destination, and let´s try the fish! Besides, local farms grow different vegetables and fruits such as eggplants, green and yellow zucchini, fine herbs, pepper, strawberries, mangos, oranges in various seasons. We can recommend you the best products according to your wedding date.
Hors d´oeuvres. For your cocktail, try to do passed hors d´oeuvres instead having various stations, in this way, you can determine certain number of pieces per person instead of a full service that may need to be refilled after the first half hour of the reception.
One entrée option. Try to select one entrée option instead of various options for your guests. Caterers charge more for preparation of food to be available upon guest’s request than having a set number of portions. If you have a list of food allergies and restrictions in advance, you can be ready to offer a different menu for those with special requirements instead of having tens of extra dishes.
Children menu. Your caterer will be able to present you various children menus that are more appealing to young guests. These menus are less expensive and will be more appreciated by the little ones.
Mexican Wine. Avoid paying extra taxes for imported wines and enjoy Mexico´s famous wineries products, these are located in Ensenada and Parras, Coahuila, in the North of Mexico; they offer rich Cabernets and Merlots, delicious Zinfandels, Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs as well as some sparkling wines. Ask your caterer for their sommelier recommendations that can be paired with your selected menu.
Bon Appétit!
